Students and faculty from various programs at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) are offering free health care and counseling to the community in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Chacarita from March 18th to Saturday, the 21st. This initiative is part of the “UBA en Acción” program. At the corner of Avenida Triunvirato and Teodoro Garcia in Chacarita, starting at 9:00 a.m., services include dental and ophthalmological care (by appointment), economic and legal advice, psychological and medical attention, podiatry, blood pressure and glucose testing, nutritional and kinesiology counseling, blood type and factor determination, and electrocardiograms. As confirmed to the Argentine News Agency, the list of services also extends to pets, including primary clinical care for dogs and cats, rabies vaccinations, internal and external deworming, and even castrations. The special day with the full range of services will be on Thursday, March 19th, while a schedule will be in effect for the other days. Authorities also note that participants can access vocational guidance and learn about UBA scholarships, the different programs available, UBA XXI, and admissions to the University Center of Trades.
